A video of MYs, aespa’s fandom, practicing the fan chant for the group’s latest single, “Supernova,”has gained widespread attention.
On May 15, 2024, a popular post titled “MYs learn aespa’s ‘Supernova’ fanchant before the group’s debut”was shared on TheQoo, a renowned online community forum in South Korea.
In the post, the original poster uploaded a video of MYs gathered on the floor, eagerly waiting to enter the “M! Countdown”venue and watch aespa’s pre-recording of “Supernova.”As they waited, the fans could be heard practicing the fan chant for the highly anticipated performance of “Supernova.”

Although they were not actively watching aespa’s performance, their voices remained hushed and subdued, not wanting to disturb the atmosphere. Despite this, every single person flawlessly executed the fan chant. The original poster was impressed by this and jokingly suggested that the fans should be considered aespa’s fifth member.
It was also observed that the fan chant section is quite lengthy, indicating that aespa will essentially be putting on a performance as well! aespa will be releasing their first studio album, “Armageddon,”on May 27, 2024. As a pre-release, the group dropped the single “Supernova”on May 13, with the album’s lead single also titled “Armageddon.”
