TikTok users have hilariously dubbed a young boy the ‘Spiced-Coke kid’ after he mistakenly believed that Coca-Cola Spiced contained alcohol in a viral video.
This young boy was understandably upset when he thought he had unwittingly consumed alcohol. The viral TikTok, shared by his aunt, Morgan Deardeuff, showed the boy expressing his concerns about a mysterious drink he had been offered.
“My nephew told me that his friends accidentally drank alcohol the night before, so I asked him to show me what they had,” stated Morgan.
Upon searching for the drink online, Morgan found it hard to contain her laughter, quickly realizing her nephew had made a comical misunderstanding based on the name of the beverage.
The boy believed that the can of Coca-Cola Spiced in the fridge was alcoholic, confusing the word “spiced” with “spiked.” Fearing potential trouble, he opted not to drink it.
“So, this is what kids your age were drinking last night? But you didn’t drink it, right?” Morgan inquired.
“No, I was about to,” her nephew, dubbed the ‘Spiced-Coke kid’ by TikTok users, replied.

“Some kids are dumb because they thought it was ‘spice,’” the boy commented, referring to the assumption that the soda could contain recreational drugs.
He went on to explain the humorous reason behind his and his friends’ curiosity about the drink: “So, we tried this nut with ghost pepper in it, and everybody got really thirsty. I grabbed the last water, so the only thing left in the mini-fridge was this, and they thought it was spice,” he shared.
After Morgan’s wholesome TikTok video featuring her nephew gained widespread attention, the duo conducted a taste test of Coca-Cola Spiced and shared the results online.
“He finally mustered the courage to try the Spiced-Coke,” Morgan wrote in her video caption.

Looking skeptical, the Spiced-Coke kid checked the box of sodas to ensure he wasn’t being pranked.
“This smells like alcohol!” he shouted.
After some persuasion from his aunt, he finally sampled the Coca-Cola Spiced. “Ew!” he exclaimed after just one sip.
Viewers found this moment entertaining, with many commenting on how adorable his hesitation was. “Him reading the ingredients before he drinks it is everything,” said one user.
“He really thinks you’re trying to get him drunk,” added another, accompanied by laughing emojis.
Fortunately for the young boy, Coca-Cola Spiced was discontinued this September, alleviating any concerns about mistaking the soda for alcohol or recreational drugs. Coca-Cola also phased out Diet Coke with Splenda and Cherry Vanilla Coke.
