As Virgin River Season 6 continues filming, a set leak may have revealed a major indication of an upcoming wedding.
In early February, the filming of Season 6 for the Virgin River cast began. Fans have recently noticed a significant clue that may suggest a wedding is in the works, although there are different opinions on whose wedding it could be.
“According to a Reddit user, speculation is spreading that filming for Mel and Jack’s wedding in the show “Virgin River”is taking place on a paddle boat on the Mississippi River. This is in contrast to the original plan of having the wedding at their new farm, as actress Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays Mel, has expressed that she would prefer a different setting as her real wedding also took place on a farm.”

The post further supports this by mentioning past events such as their first date at the marina, the Evermore pond scene, and the canceled moonlight dinner cruise for Mel’s birthday.
Another fan confirmed, “I believe Martin will be directing one of the episodes written by Richard Keith and Erin Carrillo, most likely the wedding episode. It seems like they will also be shooting the remaining wedding scenes next week, and it looks like the weather in Vancouver will be favorable. My prediction is that the wedding ceremony will take place outdoors on their new property, followed by a reception on a paddle boat.”
At the beginning of the year, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith of Virgin River Season 6 foreshadowed that the relationship between Mel and Jack will play a significant role in future episodes, further contributing to their path towards parenthood.
Despite this, some fans remain unconvinced that the supposed revelation will be related to Mel and Jack in any way.
According to one fan, they also saw these pictures on X and believed that the filming of Mel and Jack’s wedding would be kept a secret. However, another fan disagreed and countered that the filming was for episodes 7 and 8, making it too late for Hope and Doc’s wedding or vows renewal in Season 6. It seems that fans are still hoping for Mel and Jack’s wedding to take place within the same season.
A third person chimed in, questioning, “Can we really believe that Mel’s sister is traveling all the way from LA just to attend Hope and Doc’s vows renewal instead of her own sister’s wedding, when Joey is clearly visible in the photos?”
Breckenridge had previously shared with TV Line that her wedding “resembled what one would expect Mel’s wedding to be like.”
