VTuber slams Twitch for attacking her after sudden ban and has lawyers involved

Twitch VTuber FeFe has expressed frustration with the platform after being issued their seventh ban from the site without warning, stating that the penalty was unjustified and for reasons that were “absolutely baseless.”

The streamer, who identifies as a Punk VTuber, has frequently been banned on the platform in the past. These bans have often come as a surprise to the streamer.

On August 27, 2024, Fefe was once again banned for the seventh time, prompting her to express her frustration towards the Amazon-owned platform through posts on her X account.

In a quote retweet of the Streamerbans post, she exclaimed, “Are you f**king kidding me?”One of Fefe’s followers inquired about the situation, to which she responded, “Literally nothing.”

FeFe expressed her frustrations in a separate post and disclosed that she has previously sought legal assistance when attempting to contest her Twitch bans.

“Twitch and Dan Clancy, we need to discuss this matter. This is my seventh ban and I was previously indefinitely banned. I have reached out to you via messages, as well as my talent management and lawyers, inquiring about the reasons for my repeated bans. However, your response has consistently been “Sorry we can’t tell you”. This is frustrating and confusing.”

“I reached out to a Twitch partner manager and was informed that my channel does not currently meet the requirements to be prioritized. I am disappointed and confused as I am a passionate Twitch streamer who always follows the terms of service. It seems unfair that I am constantly being targeted while other streamers may not adhere to the rules.”

Despite FeFe’s post about her ban, neither Twitch nor its CEO Dan Clancy has responded. The VTuber has also not disclosed any additional information about the potential reasons for her punishment.

Ever since Clancy assumed the position in March 2023, he has been actively engaged with the community. He consistently streams on his Twitch channel and within eight months of becoming CEO, he achieved partner status on the platform. He even wrote a song to celebrate this milestone.

In addition to collaborating with Spanish star Rubius and AMP co-founder Agent00, Clancy has also answered numerous on-stream phone calls from other streamers throughout 2024.
