As the excitement surrounding VCT reaches its peak, Valorant has announced the release of a new agent, ‘Agent 26’. This Sentinel, named ‘Vyse’, is portrayed as a clever and careful trapsetter in the official trailer.
Vyse possesses the power of liquid metal manipulation and excels at isolating opponents in combat. With her imminent deployment, it would be wise to examine her diverse range of abilities (some of which are not typically found in Sentinels) and her incredibly powerful Ultimate, which is considered one of the most formidable in all of Valorant.
1. When does Vyse release in Valorant?
Riot Games has officially confirmed that Vyse or Agent 26 will be added to the Valorant roster on August 28, 2024. The new Sentinel will be available upon the release of Episode 9 Act 2.
The official Valorant channel gave the agent’s trailer the tag of ‘All paths end with Vyse’, highlighting their skills as a lethal tactician, metal manipulator, and the newest agent to join the Sentinel team in VALORANT. With the VCT grand finale approaching and the release of the console version, it seems that Riot is taking advantage of the current hype.
Despite the fact that Vyse, the new agent, will be released on the 28th of August, it should be noted that Free-to-play players will require more time to acquire the character. This can be achieved by reaching a specific amount of XP in the game or by using Kingdom Credits.
2. Vyse’s Abilities
Each time a new agent is released in Valorant, their abilities are somewhat unique. This trend can be seen with the past few agents, such as Clove, Iso, and Deadlock, who all possess very special and distinctive abilities.
After Clove’s death, Iso can successfully abduct one player within his AOE with a guaranteed 100% chance. Additionally, Deadlock possesses the ‘If-I-find-you-you-are-dead-i-nator’. However, the Vyse showcase has revealed that Riot Games has surpassed expectations by granting Sentinel the power to control and use flashes.
- Arc Rose (E)
- Vyse’s freebie E ability is reusable and a set-up flash trap. You can place it on a surface, and it will hide itself when players are close – they get blinded for a substantial duration.
- Shear (Q)
- Vyse’s Q ability is for isolating fights and is unique for a Sentinel. Harbor’s Cove is somewhat similar, but ‘Shear’ is a trap set for duelists and entry-takers. It raises a wall blocking off team support and gives a 1v1. The wall is indestructible for a few seconds.
- Razorvine (C)
- Vyse’s C is a throwable mesh of metallic vines. Using it on a surface, it hides itself, and you can use it to deploy a large nest of sharp vines that both slow down and damage enemies.
- Ultimate Ability – Steel Garden
- Vyse’s Ultimate is a massive AOE ability that surrounds the entire area with liquid metal that spawns vines to entangle the primary weapons of all enemies within range.
The primary weapons have temporarily malfunctioned for a few seconds, creating a perfect chance for a retake or entry onto the site. It is highly likely that this ult, combined with Harbor and Fade’s ultimates, will result in significant destruction of the site.
3. What is Vyse’s gear?
In Valorant, every agent must unlock tiers, which were previously attainable through XP but are now obtained with Kingdom Credits. Vyse is known for its unique tiers in the game. The secondary-weapon skins, which are highly popular among F2P players, are also included in these tiers.
