Walmart shoppers are buzzing about a new Walmart product that is being compared to Texas Roadhouse’s iconic Cinnamon Butter Rolls. Many are claiming that this frozen supermarket alternative surpasses the original restaurant offering.
Among the most popular items at Texas Roadhouse is their beloved Cinnamon Butter. However, if you’ve ever found yourself scraping the bottom of the mini rolls dish, you know it often leaves you wanting more.
Now, your butter-filled cravings can be fully satisfied as Walmart has begun to stock Texas Roadhouse-style Cinnamon Butter in large tubs available for purchase during your grocery runs. Additionally, they are offering frozen Texas Roadhouse rolls topped with a honey cinnamon glaze that can be easily heated at home.

In a comparative review, TikToker Kayleigh presented both Walmart and Texas Roadhouse products side by side. She noted the pricing, stating, “At Texas Roadhouse, a dozen rolls cost $4.99, plus the Cinnamon Butter.”
Meanwhile, the Walmart version costs $5.26 for 12 rolls, paired with a honey cinnamon glaze. Additionally, she purchased Walmart’s honey cinnamon butter for $2.56.
For her taste test, Kayleigh first sampled the Texas Roadhouse rolls with their Cinnamon Butter. “Honestly, I’m not a big fan. I don’t understand the hype. The butter has more honey than cinnamon. I prefer a stronger cinnamon flavor.”
Next, she tried the Walmart version and was visibly impressed. “This one is better than Texas Roadhouse,” she exclaimed. “I would choose Walmart’s tiny cinnamon butter over Texas Roadhouse any day. There’s just no comparison. The Walmart butter is so cinnamon-rich, and I absolutely love that.”
“If you’re not particularly a roll fan, I’d definitely recommend Walmart for the convenience. They come out warm and gooey, with that delicious cinnamon glaze that seeps in, creating a delightful texture,” she added.
The cinnamon rolls can be purchased by the dozen, just like at Texas Roadhouse.
Commenters agreed with Kayleigh’s assessment, stating things like, “I had Texas Roadhouse for the first time in years, and I was disappointed in the butter. I make it at home and add more cinnamon, and it’s much better. But I love the rolls.”
“Texas Roadhouse rolls are only good when fresh; yours looked cold,” another user observed.
“I completely agree; I can’t stand the Texas Roadhouse butter,” a third added.
Conversely, some users defended the restaurant, asking, “Did you just say ‘ehhh’ to Texas Roadhouse ROLLS?”
Another chimed in, “Texas Roadhouse rolls are the best!”
This isn’t the first time Walmart has gained popularity for a fast-food dupe. Back in December 2023, a former McDonald’s chef revealed that Walmart carries the perfect copycat of the McDonald’s breakfast sausage.
