Warzone cheaters appear to have redoubled their efforts, as they have now found a way to almost completely avoid the RICOCHET anti-cheat system, evading its detection at every turn.
Cheating has plagued the Call of Duty franchise for years. From the early days of Warzone in 2020, aimbots and wallhacks have become increasingly common. This became so problematic that thousands of players deserted the game in droves, with the cheating crisis rendering the game completely “unplayable” .
It wasn’t until late 2021 that developers finally stepped in with the development of RICOCHET, an anti-cheat system designed specifically for CoD to eradicate the problem.
If for a while it worked. It didn’t take long, however, before unscrupulous players found ways to circumvent this system and now things are worse than ever.
Warzone cheats have gotten so advanced they’re now able to turn off automatically in-game when being “investigated” by Ricochet. We are so chalked 🤣 pic.twitter.com/vUs3LI2jRy

Cheaters are rampant not only in CoD’s Battle Royale, but also in Modern Warfare 3. And while developers work to remedy the recurring problem, cheaters have further evolved to almost completely avoid RICOCHET.
A video from ‘ NukeJesus ‘ on YouTube began circulating on February 27, showcasing a peculiar development in the history of CoD cheating.
According to the video, cheaters have now found a way to avoid RICOCHET detection almost entirely.
“When you receive a large number of reports on your account, anti-cheat constantly takes screenshots of your game,” he explains.
“What some of these tools do that these cheat providers have is they can detect when you’re about to get screenshotted, and they will literally disable your cheats for a thousandth of a second, the screenshot is then taken, then your cheats will reactivate.”
In the blink of an eye, everything works in the background without any manual control needed, with the software able to temporarily shut down and then restart on its own, all in an effort to avoid RICOCHET’s detection system.
In some cases, this can even happen “multiple times per game” , meaning that the cheat software is advanced enough to repeat the process at will.
“They are quite ahead of the game,” explains NukeJesus. “RICOCHET is really lagging behind.”
Activision has yet to respond to this particular development, but it’s clear that players are hoping for a resolution soon.
