Warzone Devs Accidentally Give Meta Pistol Insane Buff

The COR-45 pistol was initially nerfed in Season 5 due to player complaints, but was quickly buffed again the following week. However, there is speculation that developer Raven Software may have unintentionally given it a significant buff, possibly creating a new dominant weapon in Warzone.

The COR-45, the first pistol that players unlock, underwent a significant rate of fire nerf at the beginning of Season 5. As a result, its effectiveness decreased significantly, particularly when trying to compete against opponents who have already obtained their loadouts.

Recognizing that they may have gone too far, Raven enhanced the COR-45 in the July 30 update, increasing its rate of fire even beyond its original nerf. However, they unintentionally made one attachment significantly more dominant than anticipated, resulting in a rate of fire boost of over 700%.

The addition of the COR-45’s XRK IP-V2 Conversion Kit enables the gun to fire in full-automatic mode. Despite already having a significantly increased rate of fire, the base gun’s RPM has been boosted from 450 to 3750.

The error was quickly recognized by Raven, leading to the removal of the ability to equip the Conversion Kit on the pistol. However, there is still a solution available.

If you already have a COR-45 blueprint that includes the attachment from a Store bundle or the Battle Pass (and not a Custom Mod), you will still have access to the buffed kit and can choose to use any other attachments you prefer.

At present, the Conversion Kit is only used in two blueprints: Cork and Screw, which are part of the Season 4 Battle Pass, and the Desert Maula, which is included in the Dune Part Two: Paul Atreides bundle.

It should be mentioned that the Conversion Kit attachment slot will not appear on the blueprint when creating the class. However, it will still be present on the gun when you enter the game.

This indicates that you can continue to defeat enemies in both Warzone modes, whether it be battle royale or resurgence, and even bring it to the multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare 3 if you wish to truly test the capabilities of the weapon.
