The COR-45 and Renetti quickly gained a reputation as the most lethal weapons in Warzone due to an exploit, prompting Raven Software to take action.
On August 14, JGOD, a content creator for CoD, discovered a glitch that allowed players to equip the COR-45 XRK IP-V2 Conversion Kit on Akimbo weapons.
Initially released in Season 4, the XRK IP-V2 adds a binary trigger to the COR-45, effectively turning the pistol into a semi-automatic SMG with a higher rate of fire. This Conversion Kit is highly praised as one of the top options in the game, and it was never intended to have an Akimbo attachment.
As a result, when gamers found a loophole that allowed them to use the conversion kit to dual-wield, it quickly became known as one of the most efficient weapons with a fast time-to-kill rate in the history of Warzone.
When users discovered that they could also achieve the exploit using the Renetti pistols, their trouble doubled.
Raven Software became aware of the trend and fixed both exploits through patches.
Prior to the update, ZLaner, a popular CoD content creator, demonstrated the destructive power of the pistols in action.

As neither weapon remains a feasible choice, it begs the question of which short-range option will emerge as the top meta choice going forward.
Ever since the Aug. 6 update, the Superi has been hit with a second nerf that reduced both its minimum and short-range damage values, effectively taking the SMG out of contention.
The Static-HV remains the top choice due to its impressive attributes. Its rapid firing capability and high-capacity magazine make it a formidable opponent in close and mid-range battles. Furthermore, the Static-HV boasts one of the most impressive time-to-kill rates available.
As per the data from WZ Ranked, the SMG remains the top choice among players in the battle royale, with an impressive pick rate of 24.5 percent. On the other hand, the AMR9, which is the second most popular SMG, only has a pick rate of six percent.
