Warzone DTIR Receives Hidden Buff While Maintaining Meta Dominance

Call of Duty Warzone’s DTIR 30-06 has surprisingly received a buff with the October 1 update, despite this enhancement not being included in the official patch notes.

As anticipation builds for Black Ops 6, updates for Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 are starting to decelerate. The launch of Season 6 heralded the last significant meta update, positively impacting weapons from the preceding title – Modern Warfare 2.

Nevertheless, developers are not entirely neglecting either game, as evidenced by the aforementioned October 1 update for Warzone, which included a significant buff for the MW2 crossbow.

While there were a handful of bug fixes, there was another notable adjustment concerning the DTIR 30-06. The pertinent detail is that this enhancement for the DTIR was omitted from the patch notes.

Sharp-eyed players, like Redditor pnokmn, highlighted this change, noting a reduction in the battle rifle’s muzzle smoke and other distracting visual elements.

“Can we stop this foolishness and just let all players see properly?” they remarked. “I highly doubt players prefer the game more because of the muzzle smoke/flash and visual clutter.”

Other players expressed their excitement at this revelation. “This is huge. Was a major turn off of that gun. Just checked in the firing range and it’s noticeably better,” one user commented.

However, others remained skeptical about the potential for changes regarding visual clutter.

“They’re never fixing these issues. Ever. Never ever. Never ever ever ever,” another player commented. “They want you to buy the blackcell. Less smoke,” one added.

Clearly, it’s too late for major modifications to Modern Warfare 3, but Warzone will continue in Black Ops 6, promising a host of changes.
