Warzone expert reveals Season 5 changes with game-changing movement trick

Warzone pro IceManIsaac has discovered a movement technique in Season 5 that is capable of completely nullifying fall damage, potentially altering the game drastically.

Despite the extensive nature of seasonal patch notes, Season 5 is no exception. Occasionally, game developers may overlook some important details. This is where the expertise of Warzone’s top players comes in, as they dedicate hours to thoroughly testing for any hidden secrets.

With Season 5 now in the spotlight, IceManIsaac took it upon himself to investigate. His findings revealed what could be considered as one of the most extreme movement mechanics ever seen in Warzone.

After thoroughly testing each variable for multiple hours, he published his findings on July 30, uncovering undisclosed alterations to fall damage that were not mentioned in the most recent patch notes.

Isaac expressed uncertainty about the functionality of the object before delving into the specifics. In summary, the Season 5 update quietly altered the mechanics of fall damage. Previously, a drop from 13 meters would result in death, but now players can withstand a fall from up to 16 meters.

Even though it may not seem like a significant change, equipping the Mountaineer perk takes things to the next level. According to Isaac, not only was fall damage reduced, but Mountaineer also received a boost.

With Mountaineer in their loadout, players can now survive falls from up to 34 meters, an increase of eight meters from the previous limit of 26 meters. This has a significant impact on the gameplay experience.

Isaac playfully remarked while demonstrating some outrageous jumps that have now become feasible, “You can practically leap off any spot on the map without a second thought. It’s like we’re playing [Apex Legends]!”

IceManIsaac has uncovered another game-changer, this time with Warzone’s movement.

Despite only causing minor changes in height, the true discovery for Isaac was when he realized that fall damage is not solely determined by height, but also by velocity.

Thanks to adjusting the angle of your descent, you can now safely withstand extremely high drops without having to deploy your parachute. Isaac confirmed that you can even reach heights of up to 100 meters without the need to pull your chute.

To survive from great heights, simply tilt back while in freefall and keep your hands up. It is currently unclear if this is an intentional feature or a bug that was overlooked in the Season 5 patch.

Activision has not yet addressed the movement technique, but we will continue to update you if that changes.
