The latest developments in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have taken an unexpected turn as cheaters have begun wielding Wonder Weapons from the Zombies mode within Warzone. This concerning trend raises significant alarm among the player community.
When Treyarch unveiled the roadmap for Season 2, excitement buzzed through the Zombies community. Players were thrilled to learn of a new map, The Tomb, alongside a nostalgic return of the Ice Staff, a well-loved Wonder Weapon.
Meanwhile, Warzone has been experiencing a content drought, particularly with players awaiting the arrival of Verdansk once again. This gap has led to frustration among gamers, who crave fresh experiences.
Ice Staff Invades Warzone
Despite the lack of new content, hackers have taken matters into their own hands by finding a way to introduce the Ice Staff into Urzikstan, significantly altering the gameplay experience. Clips circulating on various social media platforms highlight a hacker in Warzone effectively using the Ice Staff.
Recently shared on TikTok by user apolloservicesv, one video shows a hacker securing multiple long-range kills using the Wonder Weapon. The clip captures the hacker skillfully replenishing their ammunition at a Buy Station, further showcasing the alarming capabilities granted by their cheating software.

Reactions from the community have varied from disappointment to frustration. YouTuber ProRebornYT questioned, “Why do these things even have damage values in mp & wz? Christ, it’s all over.” Similarly, WhosImmortal expressed disillusionment with the comment, “Disappointed but not surprised.” One viewer humorously remarked, “Not even 24 hours and the new update allows you to get the Ice Staff in Warzone, ” attaching a series of laughing emojis.

The response has been swift, with notable figures such as Jack ‘CourageJD’ Dunlop calling on the developers to take decisive action: “Pull the plug, ” he urged, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive assault on cheating practices. He suggested exploring legal avenues against cheat websites, alongside implementing a stringent anti-cheat system similar to Riot Games’ Vanguard.
Moving forward, the question remains: will Activision respond to this urgent plea for improved security measures? Players hope for an effective crackdown, as encountering an Ice Staff in the game’s final zone can be an incredibly frustrating experience.
