Players in Warzone are expressing their dissatisfaction with the ease of traversal across the game’s expansive maps. A particular feature, long-standing since 2021, is now under scrutiny as fans advocate for its removal to enhance game pacing and balance.
Since its inception alongside Modern Warfare in 2019, Warzone has continually evolved, featuring various maps and game modes that contribute to its unique meta. The integration of Black Ops 6 in Season 1 has shifted the battle royale experience towards the Urzikstan map, alongside resurgence modes located in Area 99 and Rebirth Island.
Demanding a Return to Vehicle Usage in Warzone
Initial gameplay in Warzone revolved significantly around vehicles. Players needed to utilize trucks to navigate swiftly for engagements or when relocating to the final circles. However, the introduction of redeploy balloons in Caldera has diminished the importance of vehicles.
On Reddit, one player suggested that removing the redeploy balloons and drones would restore a more authentic battle royale experience, akin to the earlier versions of Warzone.

Another player echoed this sentiment, noting that the redeploy balloons were introduced when Caldera was less navigable. “They aren’t needed anymore,” they stated, emphasizing how the current gameplay trend lacks variety, resulting in a cycle of gunfights with little else in between.
Some players reminisced about the subway feature, expressing hope for a different fast travel system in future updates. The return of Verdansk in 2025 brings additional anticipation, as fans hope to see the map retain its original charm. Maintaining the status quo with redeploy balloons might jeopardize the essence of Verdansk by altering its pacing and balance.
Feedback regarding the Black Ops 6 integration has largely been negative, with concerns about ongoing hacker issues and player fatigue with the Urzikstan map. Warzone expert JGOD speculated that Activision anticipated this backlash and remains hopeful that conditions will improve upon Verdansk’s return.
