In the early hours of November 20, an important update was introduced in Warzone, poised to enhance the movement mechanics—a feature many players have eagerly anticipated. This update comes on the heels of the recent integration of Black Ops 6 on November 14, which introduced a new gameplay experience called “omnimovement.”Although this update aimed to create a smoother gaming environment, some users reported that the movement felt slightly off.
Players experiencing delays when attempting to sprint or plate up, as well as the frustrating phenomenon known as “dead slides,”where characters simply crouch instead of sliding, brought these issues to the forefront. To address these concerns, Raven Software and Treyarch have initiated several refinements to improve gameplay across both titles.
Enhancements to Movement Mechanics
The latest patch includes the following key adjustments, as detailed in the official update notes:
- The minimum sprint time required for actions like dive-to-prone or sliding has been reduced.
- Fixed a glitch that occasionally prevented players from sprinting after executing multiple actions quickly.
According to the developers, these changes will apply to both Black Ops 6 and Warzone, fostering a more responsive movement experience with fewer unintended crouches when players aim to dive or slide.
Players will likely experience greater fluidity in their movements as a result of these improvements. Additionally, this patch has also increased reload speeds for Assault Rifles and Light Machine Guns by 10%, allowing players to re-engage in battles more quickly.
While excitement builds around these movement improvements, many players continue to voice concerns over persistent audio issues that remained unaddressed in this update. For the time being, players are encouraged to optimize their audio settings in hopes of alleviating some of these frustrations.
This patch was released shortly after the November 19 update, which reinstated the legacy MW3 Double XP tokens to both Warzone and Black Ops 6 in response to community backlash.
