After playing the Season 5 Reloaded update for a few hours, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone raised concerns about whether the changes were significant enough to have a noticeable impact.
The most recent mid-season update for multiplayer brought about the addition of four fresh game modes, an alternative version of Stash House, and rebalanced several weapons.
In the meantime, Supreme Resurgence came back to Warzone, accompanied by elite contracts and a UAV public event. Raven Software made an effort to adjust the balance between short and long-range gameplay by weakening the STG44 and Static-HV, but the statistics indicate that these changes were unsuccessful in removing them from the top positions.
Season 5 Reloaded also brings in two additional weapons – the Torque 35, a powerful bow and arrow that can impale enemies against surfaces, and the spear, a melee weapon that can be thrown or used for lunging attacks.
ModernWarzone inquired about initial thoughts on the most recent update, and the response was predominantly unfavorable.
Thoughts on Season 5 Reloaded so far?

One player inquired, “What exactly did they do?”
Some criticisms were also raised about the lack of a new 6v6 multiplayer map and the release of two weapons that were deemed insufficient to match up against the top meta choices.
A different user expressed their disappointment by stating, “This update is the worst. It didn’t bring any new 6v6 maps and the bow and spear added are not even worth using.”
Despite being charged up, the spear falls short of expectations due to its slow movement. This means that if you fail to retrieve all three spears, you will be left without a weapon in that slot until you find more ammo. Furthermore, the melee weapon’s throw velocity is weak, even when fully charged.
The Torque 35 stands out for its impressive reload speed, but as it falls into the launcher category, replenishing ammo can be a tiresome task once it runs out.
Some players were also upset about Raven Software’s decision to take away Solos and Quads from Resurgence, as it made it difficult for those who do not have friends to join a game.
“A third commenter raised the question of whether there will be any resurgence for solos or quads, as the weekly challenges seem to only revolve around Fortunes Keep which is limited to trios.”
Despite the possibility for Raven Software to revisit and improve both new weapons, the weekly rotation of playlist options has not received positive initial reactions.
