Warzone & MW3 Season 6 Release Date and Start Time

Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 represents a major update packed with new weapons and thrilling horror crossovers. But when can players expect its arrival?

The Haunting event injects some Halloween excitement into both games for Season 6, featuring iconic skins for Michael Myers from *Halloween* and Art the Clown from *Terrifier*. Additionally, gamers can anticipate new firearms such as the DTIR 30-06, along with a fresh game mode to dive into.

If you’re eager for The Haunting to commence, here’s everything you need to know about the release and start time for MW3 and Warzone Season 6.

When Does Season 6 Start?

The Season 6 update is set to launch on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, for both Warzone and MW3. Players can look forward to accessing The Haunting content at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST, at which point the Season 5 Battle Pass will be retired.

Season 5 Reloaded was a substantial update that required around 110 GB on PC; however, the upcoming update is estimated to be significantly smaller.

The last patch was part of a significant overhaul of the COD HQ app, which included files for the Black Ops 6 beta. However, Season 6 is not included in this reorganization, and even though an official file size hasn’t been disclosed, it is expected to be around 20-30 GB, which players have become accustomed to.

Preloads for Call of Duty updates typically become available within the 24 hours leading up to the start time. Don’t worry if there are no downloads available yet; they usually appear just a few hours prior to the new season’s commencement.

It’s important to note that unfortunately, Xbox players will not have the preload option for MW3 and Warzone Season 6. They will need to initiate the download at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST. The silver lining is that this file is expected to be smaller than Season 5 Reloaded, minimizing any downtime in gameplay.

Once the download is complete and the update goes live, you can start grinding for the new Constellation’s End camo and work towards unlocking the Kastov LSW LMG.
