The Walking Dead will join Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 in Season 2. However, the reveal of protagonist Rick Grimes led to severe mockery due to his outdated appearance.
Season 1 is coming to a close in MW3 and Warzone, with highlights including a new crossover with The Boys, MW3’s integration into Warzone, and Ranked mode.
So Season 2 is right around the corner, and in an attempt to drum up excitement, Activision has released a key image for the upcoming season, which features a glimpse of The Walking Dead protagonist Rick Grimes.
While Rick’s appearance generated some excitement, it also paved the way for plenty of jeers about the crossover’s outdated appearance.
The Walking Dead arrive sur Call of Duty
The Walking Dead was hugely successful during its run, starting in 2010 and ending in 2022. Rumors had been circulating for some time about the series coming to CoD, and Season 2 of MW3 and Warzone confirmed those rumors.
But quickly, players on the Warzone subreddit made their feelings about this new crossover clear.
“So late a crossover that I almost expect Walter White to show up one day,” said one Reddit user.

Importantly, Michonne will also be joining the game as part of the Season 2 crossover, likely to capitalize on the upcoming series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
Some comments, however, shared their enthusiasm for this collaboration. However, the majority of comments were blunt about how outdated this seems.
“Someone at AMC was given a blank check to convince these companies that a TWD crossover is a good idea,” another Reddit user said.
