Warzone Players Call for Movement Change Similar to Verdansk

The Warzone community is advocating for unlimited Tac Sprint, as players feel the feature serves no purpose in the battle royale mode.

In 2019, Modern Warfare brought significant changes to the Call of Duty franchise by introducing new features that aimed to create a more realistic experience. One of these features was Tac Sprint, a “super sprint”that allowed players to move around the map quicker, but with a cooldown period.

After that, Tac Sprint lost its appeal when players discovered a way to bypass the cooldown by using slide canceling, effectively granting them unlimited Tac Sprint. However, in MW3, slide canceling does not result in infinite Tac Sprint, making the feature almost pointless.

The creator of Call of Duty, ModernWarzone, posed the question of whether the developers should make changes to Tac Sprint to enhance its effectiveness by making it unlimited. As expected, 65% of ModernWarzone’s followers responded with “Yes,”while a significant portion answered with “No.”

It should be noted that players were given the opportunity to try out this design decision during the High Trip Warzone event. During the event, Gummies were dropped, providing players with a variety of power-ups, including the benefit of unlimited Tac Sprint.

Despite CoD’s push towards realism dividing the player base, many replies that supported unlimited Tac Sprint shared the sentiment that it seemed like a throwback to the past. They also pointed out the irony of CoD returning to older mechanics that have proven successful in previous releases.

“TheGhostofHope, a well-known leaker, expressed appreciation for the return to the original formula of Call of Duty with just one sprint.”

Some argued for its total elimination, while those who voted against it largely remained quiet about their reasons for wanting to keep it unchanged.

Sledgehammer Games has utilized “Experimental Playlists”in MW3 as a means of incorporating player feedback and making changes to the game. If there is enough demand from fans, this approach may potentially be implemented in future seasons of Warzone.
