Warzone players have expressed their frustration with the latest update in the battle royale’s ongoing battle against cheaters, with many deeming it ineffective for the majority of players.
Despite the numerous issues plaguing Warzone due to cheaters, many fans of Call of Duty pleaded for an anti-cheat system. Their request was granted when the battle royale developers implemented RICOCHET, but the problems persist.
Recently, there have been reports of PC players using cheats and disguising themselves as console users through Xbox Game Pass. Although the developers have taken action against this practice, hackers continue to create chaos.
In order to address the ongoing issues, the developers have implemented ban waves and made updates to their anti-cheat system. In their latest efforts, they have taken action against lobby scraping apps, which facilitate boosting by allowing players to see who is in the lobby. As a result, RICOCHET has been programmed to automatically remove any players caught using these apps.
Despite the release of the update, players remain unimpressed. One player expressed their frustration, stating, “I couldn’t care less if it doesn’t combat aimbotters and wallhackers.”Another player chimed in, “Who cares about stream sniping? This update seems useless.”

On the other hand, there were those who contended that the app was “acceptable,”causing no harm, and that their values were misplaced. “Instead of targeting WZ agent app users, concentrate on catching actual cheaters,”one person suggested.
“According to another player, this is one of the only tools available to combat real cheaters. The lack of a functional anti-cheat system is astonishing.”
Some players also suggested that the developers prioritize adding console-only lobbies instead. “I haven’t played in a year, but this doesn’t seem very useful. Perhaps addressing the issue of hackers should be a priority? Many have been requesting console-only crossplay for a long time,”one player added.
Several fans have also expressed their concerns about the incorrect shadow bans that have been implemented in the past few weeks. According to one fan, the system is flawed and unfairly affects legitimate players who have been wrongly placed in restricted matchmaking repeatedly.
