Following the introduction of the Warzone Season 3 update, the Renetti Pistol has become the dominant weapon in close-range combat. Thanks to a damage range increase in the patch and the JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit, it has transformed into a formidable full-auto weapon that surpasses even the top SMGs in the game.
Many players are now requesting for the Rentti to be nerfed, as they are becoming increasingly frustrated with losing gunfights to it.
‘Short-Poem3445’, a Reddit user, posted a video clip showcasing the powerful Pistol/SMG hybrid and its ability to swiftly eliminate opponents. The caption read, “This new meta is amazing…you get melted in no time.”The post received numerous responses from Warzone players expressing their frustration with the new meta and urging the developers to address it promptly.

One Warzone player expressed frustration with the fact that many players are not acknowledging the issue with the weapons’ TTK and the need for a quick nerf. They find it annoying that so many players are using this weapon. Another player chimed in, agreeing that the Renetti kit needs to be nerfed due to its 20% faster TTK compared to the previous meta SMGs, which results in unchallenging gameplay.
Some also acknowledged that they could manage the Renetti if its range was restricted to only close quarters, yet attested to its continued effectiveness from a distance: “Even at range, it’s a beast. It’s almost unbelievable how strong it is currently. I can’t imagine if it was even more powerful after being tested and approved.”
Despite the recent return of Rebirth Island, players continue to express their concerns about the Renetti’s overpowering presence on the close-quarters Resurgence map. The JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit is heavily utilized by Operators, resulting in a challenging and crowded environment on the island.
“Another reply expressed disappointment with the release of Rebirth, stating that the current meta is not balanced and could be improved with more viable options. They also called for a balancing patch to be implemented in order to make Rebirth more enjoyable.”
The upcoming Season 3 Reloaded update for Warzone is set to release on May 1, however, the developers consistently release minor balancing updates. Considering its current dominance, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Renetti receives a nerf in the near future.
