Warzone Players Demand Weapon Balancing Rework Before Black Ops 6

According to CoD content creator JGOD, the Warzone meta has remained stagnant this year. He believes that Raven Software consistently nerfs overpowered weapons with each seasonal update, but fails to introduce viable alternatives.

Each month, Raven Software releases a new Warzone seasonal update which includes weapon re-balancing through buffs and nerfs. As a result, the preferred weapons among players are constantly changing.

Although these updates help to keep the gameplay exciting and encourage users to experiment with different weapons, JGOD criticizes the development team for their handling of weapon rebalancing in MW3.

According to JGOd, although there have been updates and new season weapons, the meta in Warzone 2 has not become more varied.

In support of this argument, JGOD pointed out that a majority of the updates made this year have resulted in unnecessary nerfs to weapons.

“According to JGOD, while it is necessary to make adjustments to overpowered elements, there are also instances where certain elements are in a good state, well-received, and not subject to complaints, yet still receive nerfs.”

If less frequently used weapons were given a buff to compensate for the ones that have been downgraded, this wouldn’t be a problem. However, the YouTuber is of the opinion that not enough effort has been put into introducing new meta weapons.

For instance, the STG remains the favored long-range meta weapon of Season 5. There is anticipation among players that the AR will receive a nerf in the upcoming Season 5 Reloaded update on Aug. 21, but this may not necessarily be the optimal solution.

JGOD expressed concern that the STG will be nerfed, causing other weapons to feel subpar. He believes that instead of subtracting from weapon power, game developers should focus on buffing weapons to enhance the overall fun of the game.

Activision has not yet disclosed any details about the upcoming battle royale, but Black Ops 6 is scheduled to be released on October 25. JGOD remains optimistic that the development team will prioritize adding a diverse selection of weapons rather than removing them.
