Some Warzone players are expressing concerns about the potential for aim assist in Black Ops 6, with some fans predicting that it will simply be a repeat of what has already been experienced in the battle royale.
In recent years, there has been a heated discussion surrounding aim assist, particularly as more games become available across both PC and console platforms. Some PC players have equated the assist to a “gentle aim bot”and have even begun using controllers instead of traditional mouse and keyboard setups.
The feature has caused a significant divide in Warzone as well. Keyboard and mouse (KB/M) users have consistently expressed frustration about being easily defeated by controller players who use no recoil rifles. They have urged the developers to make adjustments in order to level the playing field and promote fair competition.
With COD NEXT now behind us, we have gained insight into what Black Ops 6 will offer in Warzone. The highly anticipated addition of Area 99, a new Resurgence map, and the return of Verdansk has fans buzzing. However, amidst all the excitement, there are concerns about the implementation of aim assist.
Several videos of content creators playing the Warzone update for Black Ops 6 have been circulating on social media. However, one particular clip from Adriann stood out as he expertly eliminated a player climbing a redeploy tower.
“It appears that the gameplay will continue to be similar,”commented a player. “What’s the point of implementing omni-directional movement if the game is going to handle most of the aiming for you?”
One person also commented, expressing disbelief that the issue was not addressed. They stated that they may give up on using mouse and keyboard or stop playing altogether. Another player even referred to it as a “legal aim bot.”

Some individuals also joined in, commenting that it was expected for aim assist to not be removed in BOPS 6. They further stated, “Apologies, but anyone who purchases this game with the intention of playing it on MNK is either foolish or enjoys pain.”
It is yet to be determined if CoD will follow in the footsteps of Apex Legends and publicly reduce aim assist. This could potentially win back some fans.
