Warzone Season 5 continues the trend of having Ranked Play on Resurgence for the third consecutive season instead of the larger Urzikstan. Some players have expressed frustration with the delay of a competitive mode on the larger map.
Ranked Play made a comeback to Warzone with the Season 2 update, after its removal upon MW3’s launch. However, it was initially only available on Fortune’s Keep and later shifted to Rebirth Island starting from Season 3, as it was limited to Ranked Resurgence.
Since then, gamers have been eagerly anticipating the addition of a competitive playlist to Urzikstan, similar to the one that was introduced in Al Mazrah. The developers have stated that they are still committed to implementing Ranked mode on the larger map, which will make up for the delayed release of Verdansk in Black Ops 6.
However, after receiving confirmation that Season 5 will feature another round of Ranked Resurgence, players are becoming increasingly impatient as they responded to the news shared by CharlieIntel.
Warzone Ranked Play will remain on Rebirth Island for Season 5. There’s no updates on Big Map Ranked play still, other than “later this year on Urzikstan.”

“One player expressed their frustration with the lack of interest in playing rebirth ranked and questioned why it was difficult to release a ranked mode for the big map. Another player shared the same sentiment, calling it a major disappointment.”
Some individuals referred to the absence of a large-scale map in Ranked mode as a “huge defeat”and also highlighted the fact that the World Series of Warzone, a popular competitive event with many professional players, is already utilizing Urzikstan.
The general sentiment among fans is that Rebirth Island has become monotonous due to its smaller size. Many had hoped that Ranked Resurgence would only serve as a temporary placeholder until the main BR mode returned.
One player argued, “We could have literally moved it to Vondel in order to keep things fresh and interesting.”Another player expressed frustration, saying, “Why did they even bother giving us one season on Fortune Keep when we’ve had three seasons on the same map, JESUS CHRIST?”
Despite an undetermined release date, Ranked Play is expected to launch in Urzikstan, possibly coinciding with the release of Black Ops 6. This new installment is expected to bring significant changes to Warzone’s movement and gameplay.
