Warzone Ranked Play Unplayable as Bunker Buster Duplication Exploit Takes Over

The Ranked Play mode has been greatly impacted by the Killstreak duplication glitch introduced in the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update, resulting in a constant barrage of Bunker Busters.

The Bunker Buster is a formidable Killstreak that can target individuals inside buildings and release a hazardous gas, causing harm to those in its vicinity. This glitch allows for multiple uses, making it nearly impossible to escape its effects.

I will refrain from divulging the method to replicate this exploit, but it is possible to duplicate any item, providing the cheater with an endless supply to exploit. While this is not the first duplication glitch to affect Warzone, the Bunker Busters found on the compact Rebirth Island map have amplified the severity of the issue.

The reports began on Friday, August 23 and have continued to increase as the weekend progresses. Currently, social media is flooded with players voicing their frustration about the glitch and pleading with the developers for a solution.

“According to Reddit user ‘phersper,’ the game mode Ranked has become unplayable. They claim that in every match, there is a team that throws almost 50+ Bunker Busters by the end of the game.”

“‘KrispylC’ explained that the game had crashed due to the presence of 23 Bunker Busters on the map at the same time.”

On X/Twitter, ‘Solgob’ shared that they had experienced multiple deaths due to an exploit while playing Warzone. They witnessed the opposing players use about 200 bunker busters and UAVs. In their tweet, they included a screenshot of the ground covered in UAVs. Another user, ‘Wumpalive’, also shared a similar screenshot with a large amount of Bunker Busters on the ground.

At the time of writing, the developers have yet to respond. However, considering the high number of complaints and its impact on Ranked Play, it is likely that it is their top priority.

Despite the potential for the Bunker Buster to be temporarily disabled until a permanent solution is found, players who are utilizing the exploit will likely resort to utilizing the next strongest alternative, resulting in them still having access to unlimited UAVs, Gas Masks, and Airstrikes. If you are currently using the exploit, be prepared to potentially receive a shadowban.
