Warzone Revamps Looting System with Black Ops 6, Eliminating Backpack Mechanic

The looting system in Warzone will revert back to its original state, as the backpack mechanic will be removed from the game when Black Ops 6 is integrated into the battle royale.

The backpack looting system was initially implemented in Warzone 2.0 when it was released with MW2. Despite some tweaks and adjustments, it has remained a feature in the game.

With the new inventory system, you have the ability to store a significantly larger amount of items such as Killstreaks, Equipment, Armor Plates, and Ammo compared to the previous system.

Prior to the introduction of backpacks, players were limited to a set number of inventory spaces for weapons, Killstreaks, Armor Plates, Equipment, and ammo. The original system, with its simplicity and restricted spaces, was favored by many as it ensured a level playing field for all players.

After the integration of Black Ops 6 and Warzone, the original inventory system will be reinstated. However, it will now include a new Satchel mechanic that allows for increased storage of armor and ammo, along with a designated slot for equipping a melee weapon.

Backpack looting will be gone once Black Ops 6 integrates with Warzone.

Without backpacks, looting will become simpler as there will be no need to spend time organizing your pack or deciding which items to collect.

It will be a breeze to loot items that are not currently in your inventory. However, due to a limited carrying capacity for certain items such as Killstreaks, you will need to be strategic in your selection process instead of mindlessly looting everything.

This introduces an additional factor to consider in Warzone tactics, particularly when playing in a squad. You and your teammates will need to strategize which Killsreaks or Equipment to acquire.

This also implies that there will be less loot available, requiring you to use ammunition and other resources more carefully.

The dedicated melee slot is crucial because when equipped with a knife, the player will have unlimited Tac-Sprint, significantly increasing their speed.

The return to the initial looting method is merely one of several updates slated for Warzone in Black Ops 6, alongside reimagined Perks and the introduction of a new Resurgence map.
