Warzone SMG outguns Static-HV after “insane” range buff

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded brought about significant changes to various weapons, including buffs and nerfs. Among these alterations, the Striker was notably one of the weapons that benefited the most.

Ever since its introduction in Season 5, the Static-HV has reigned supreme in the submachine gun meta. However, with the nerf of this popular SMG in Season 5 Reloaded, a new opportunity has arisen for another contender to claim the top spot.

The Striker stands out as the top contender among the available SMGs, thanks to a significant range boost. Its maximum damage range has now been extended from 12.7 to 14.48 meters, while its near-mid damage range has been expanded from 24.13 to 26.67 meters.

The significant buff of this weapon did not escape the attention of Warzone specialist WhosImmortal, who remarked, “The range on this thing is unbelievable. It doesn’t have any drop off,”and added, “Its initial damage range surpasses almost every other weapon,”highlighting the Striker’s lethal capabilities at long distances.

Despite WhosImmortal’s glowing review, the praise did not end there. In fact, they went on to describe the Striker as one of the top choices in the entire game, citing its user-friendly nature and impressive range.

To achieve the maximum effective range with the Striker, it is advised to use the recommended loadout below:

  • Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
  • Barrel: Striker Recon Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Paracord Grip
  • Ammunition:. 45 Auto High Grain Rounds
  • Magazine: 48 Round Mag

Despite being equipped with this particular loadout, the Striker still manages to have a rapid time to kill of 651 ms within a range of 20 meters. What’s truly noteworthy is that its TTK stays competitive even up to 48 meters, which is quite remarkable for a submachine gun in Warzone.

Overall, the Striker surpasses its competitors in terms of range, with the Static-HV dropping off after approximately 30 meters and the Superi 46 only remaining effective up to 25 meters. In simpler terms, the Striker is far superior to its rivals in terms of distance and there is no competition.

The buffed SMG’s trump card allows it to excel as a sniper support and a versatile primary weapon. Additionally, its low recoil makes it simple to utilize this distinct advantage.

To get a better understanding of the Striker’s role in the current meta, take a look at the top Warzone SMGs and the preferred loadouts that players are using in Season 5 Reloaded.
