Warzone’s Infamous Doom Shotgun Returns to Terrorize Rebirth Island

The Doom Super Shotgun has been one of the most dominant metas in Warzone, and it has resurfaced in Season 5 Reloaded, causing a complete takeover of Rebirth Island.

The recent mid-season update brought back the highly anticipated Supreme Resurgence mode, only available on Rebirth Island and featuring powerful Blueprints instead of regular ground loot. This mode offers scattered top-tier weapons throughout the map, with the added option to purchase your own customized loadout.

Upon doing so, it became evident to players that the contentious Doom Shotgun, which had previously reigned supreme in Al Mazrah upon its initial release, had made a fierce comeback.

As you may recall, the Lockwood 300 Blueprint has the capability to take down a fully-armored opponent with a single shot from incredibly far distances, which is unusual for a Shotgun. This leaves the opposing player with very little time to respond. Since the mode was introduced, numerous content creators, such as ‘tcTekk’, have shared videos showcasing their use of the Shotgun to eliminate other players.

The reappearance of the Doom Shotgun is attributed to the availability of the Maelstrom Dual Trigger in the mode, as it is prohibited in regular Warzone matches. This attachment, known as the Trigger Action, enables the Lockwood 300 to simultaneously shoot both barrels, resulting in twice the amount of damage.

The Blueprint allows those using it to take down an enemy with just one pull of the trigger, surpassing meta SMGs in firepower.

Despite its previous appearance in Warzone during Season 3 Reloaded on Loaded Resurgence, the Doom Shotgun has once again made a comeback. However, in order to use it, players had to equip a different Blueprint featuring the Maelstrom Dual Trigger, as the Super Shotgun Blueprint was still locked.

The infamous meta weapon has returned in its original state on Supreme Resurgence. However, it is important to mention that it is no longer purchasable on the CoD Store, meaning only those who previously bought it will be able to use it.

It is probable that this was simply an error on the part of the developers and the one-shot Doom Shotgun will likely be removed once again in the future. This could be achieved by either banning the Maelstrom attachment once again or if Supreme Resurgence remains in Warzone Season 6.
