The MP5 meta in Warzone has made a comeback in Season 4 of the battle royale, all thanks to one of the latest Aftermarket Parts.
The MP5 has been a well-known SMG in Call of Duty and a favored option for close-range combat in the original Warzone. Despite not being featured since Modern Warfare 2019, the Lachmann weapon platform in Modern Warfare 2 (2022) introduced a variation of this iconic weapon.
The Lachmann Sub and Lachmann Shroud are two MP5-like SMG guns that are part of the Lachmann Meer weapon platform in MW2. However, they have not been as popular since the release of the MW3 weapons, which have taken the spotlight.
Although, for Warzone Season 4, the developers made the decision to release a fresh Aftermarket Part Conversion Kit for the MW2 Lachmann Shroud. This burst SMG now has the capability to transform into a fully automatic MP5 with the JAK Decimator Conversion Kit.
In addition to transforming the Lachmann Shroud into an automatic SMG that strongly resembles the MP5, it also boosts the gun’s bullet velocity, aim walking speed, and flinch resistance, making it an excellent choice for close-range combat.
Metaphor, a well-known content creator for Warzone, recently demonstrated the incredible potential of the Lachmann Shroud equipped with the Decimator Conversion Kit. In his video, he praised the SMG as “insane”and proved its effectiveness by taking down two fully shielded enemies using only the standard 30 round magazine.
He also refers to the SMG as the MP5 and asserts that the recently added Aftermarket Part has revived the infamous meta from the Verdansk era of the original Warzone.
Although it is a MW2 gun and its tuning capabilities are no longer available, metaphor emphasizes that it does lose some of its effectiveness. To combat this, he suggests utilizing Tac-Stance with the Lachmann Shroud Decimator, which eliminates the visual recoil and mobility problems.
It appears that Season 4 is focused on the return of metas, as the recent update reintroduced the iconic Kar98k Marksman Rifle, which has been a dominant force in lobbies.
