As mentioned previously, Aizen’s actions in the Bleach series provoked anger from Ichimaru Gin. Gin had a strong bond with Rangiku, whom he greatly valued and cherished. They had been childhood friends and at a young age, Gin discovered that Sōsuke Aizen had taken a part of Rangiku’s soul.

From that moment on, Gin was determined to defeat Aizen and avenge his actions. However, the task would not be easy as Aizen was known for his strategic thinking and unparalleled fighting skills. To achieve his goal, Gin resorted to gaining Aizen’s trust and aligning himself with him, biding his time until he could strike at Aizen’s weakest moment. Fans are left questioning Gin’s true motives due to the ruthless deeds he carried out in order to gain Aizen’s trust.

Gin’s Good Guy Status, Explained

As previously mentioned, Gin is a character who exists in a morally ambiguous space. Their actions and decisions are not easily defined as good or bad, and Gin serves as a prime example of this. Their upbringing and interactions with others greatly influence their personal understanding of morality. In light of this, it is worth noting that Rangiku held a significant place in Gin’s life.

After being wounded, Gin was determined to seek vengeance and did everything in his power to do so. While his intentions seemed noble and he appeared to be a decent person on the surface, his methods in the Bleach series sparked controversy. He resorted to killing and betraying the Soul Society in order to accomplish his objective.
