This marks a significant accomplishment for the group, as it is their first time winning a music show in Korea since their debut in 2019 as a sub-unit of NCT, a major group under SM Entertainment with a strong presence in China.

Securing the top spot in Korea serves as a strong indication that their impact and appeal are starting to extend to that nation as well.

Upon finally receiving their long-awaited trophy, Kun, the leader of the group, expressed heartfelt gratitude to their devoted fanbase, WayZenNies, as well as their label, staff, and all those who played a part in the creation of their album.

Xiaojun, one of the show’s MCs, was also moved to tears and made a promise to fans that they will strive even harder in the future.

In 2019, WayV was formed as a multinational boy group, with members from China, Thailand, and Taiwan, including Kun, Ten, Xiaojun, Hendery, Winwin, and YangYang, who are all non-Korean.

On June 3, they released their 5th mini-album, “Give Me That,”which quickly rose to the top of the iTunes Top Album Chart in 19 regions globally and reached the Top 5 in a total of 24 regions.

In China, the group’s songs reached the top of the digital sales charts on QQ Music, kuguo Musica, and NetEase Cloud music, solidifying their influence in the country.

Regrettably, Winwin was unable to partake in the joyous occasion of winning their first trophy with the rest of the members. He had opted out of the album promotion activities this time in order to dedicate his time to filming his highly anticipated Chinese drama.
