Jump TOON is a manga service under Shueisha’s Jump line of magazines/services, set to launch in 2024. Its goal is to create popular vertical-format manga, drawing on the company’s expertise in traditional manga.

According to a well-known X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Shonen Jump News, Haikyuu!! will be receiving a Vertical Color Edition. Although there has been no official statement from Jump TOON, fans can anticipate the colorful adaptation of the manhwa in the near future.

What Could Have Prompted The Release of Haikyuu!! Color Edition?

It could be interpreted that the potential release of a colored version of the 45-volume manga, containing 402 chapters, was a way to satisfy the fans. After the end of season 4 of Haikyuu!!, which left fans anxiously anticipating news of a new anime adaptation for almost ten years, the unexpected announcement of two anime movie adaptations was met with mixed reactions.

The two upcoming movies are expected to encompass all the remaining manga arcs, including the Final Arc. However, due to the limitations of a movie, the anime will likely be incomplete in comparison to the manga, particularly when it comes to the Final Arc.

Despite the popularity of the Haikyuu!! manga, fans have been disappointed by the incomplete anime season adaptations that have failed to fully capture the gripping story arcs. This has caused worry among the fandom that their beloved manga panels may not be animated. Rest assured, we understand and share your love and concern for the series.

Despite no official confirmation or information about the release, fans of the popular manga may still be excited about the news of a colored edition, eagerly anticipating the new content. Rest assured, we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
