A social media influencer caused controversy when she alleged that the wedding reception included meals served in a litter box.
Although catering may not be the foremost thought on guests’ minds at a wedding, it is certainly something to anticipate and enjoy after the ceremony has concluded.
Although ‘ptsdfunnyfarm’, a TikToker and cat lover, attended their loved one’s wedding, they were surprised to discover that the food was presented in a litter box.
The viral TikTok from July 21 received the caption, “This seriously made my night! I couldn’t help but chuckle and admire the cook’s brilliance. Of course, the litter box must have been new! I even went back for seconds, it was just too funny.”
Despite the food being presented in a gray litter box, very little remained when the TikToker recorded her video.
After her TikTok was seen by 1.1M viewers, there was a debate over whether it was a good idea or completely disgusting and unsanitary to use a litter box when materials were scarce.
@ptsdfunnyfarm Seriously, this made my night!! I had to chuckle…and also think the cook was a little bit brilliant!!!…as long as the litter box was new!!🤣🤣🤣 obviously it was, and I went back for seconds, but it really was hilarious!!! #fyp #foryou #cat #funny #storytime #humor ♬ Oh No – Kreepa
“As long as it wasn’t a previously used kitty litter box, it should be fine,”one person commented. The TikToker replied, “I was thinking the same thing.”
Another person also shared the same sentiment, stating, “If it’s still new and has been washed, why not use it? It’s still a large container and can be useful.”
Although a few could ignore the fact that the food was presented in a cat’s litter box, there were others who stated they would not be able to overlook it.
One person jokingly remarked, “You guys are definitely better than me because I wouldn’t be able to overlook the fact that it’s in a litter box, whether it’s new or not.”
One other viewer also mentioned that the mere idea of the food being in a litter box would be sufficient for them to immediately leave the catering table.
This is just one of numerous viral moments from the 2024 wedding season that have captured the attention of TikTok users.
In July, a bride came up with a creative idea for her wedding reception. She had her bridesmaids sneak cheeky Polaroid pictures of her to her groom, which sparked inspiration for many other viewers.
In June, a separate TikTok became popular for revealing the incident she experienced at the botanical garden on her wedding day.
