Fantagio agency reported that on August 23rd, Choi Yoo-jung shared pictures of a handwritten letter on her official social media account, in which she expressed her appreciation towards fans.
In her letter, Choi Yoo-jung expressed her gratitude for the letters she received from fans on the day of their final performance. Despite not being friends or family, she appreciated their understanding of her preferences and feelings during a chaotic and uncertain time. She was touched by their empathy for her lonely nights, silent tears, and restless early mornings.
“Continuing, she expressed, “Just as you exist within my time, I also exist within the path you’ve walked, the choices you’ve made, and the challenges you’ve faced. Your comfort and sincere support for my happiness are always greatly appreciated.”
Despite facing difficulties in expressing her love, Choi Yoo-jung has expressed a strong desire to develop a deeper connection with her fans. In a message to her fans, she shared her worries about potentially making their journey together feel lonely due to her awkwardness, but she is determined to have more faith in herself and rely on her fans, as suggested by her official fandom KI-LING, as they face challenges together.
“Furthermore, she stressed, “It is important for me to demonstrate that we are still standing by each other, that our connection is not one-sided. Thanks to your bravery and support, I was able to continue progressing without surrendering.”
As she finished speaking, she expressed her gratitude saying, “I am grateful that you see me as a warm and kind individual and that you acknowledge my sincerity. Your genuine hearts are a reflection of my own sentiments and I will always be available to meet with you for a long time to come.”
On August 8th, Weki Meki officially announced the end of their group activities and disbandment, led by Choi Yoo-jung.
Despite Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy terminating their exclusive contracts, there are reports that Choi Yoo-jung, Suyeon, and Kim Do-yeon are still in discussions about their contract statuses.
