What are Apples in Content Warning?

The recent Content Warning update on April 10 has added the ability for players to pick up Apples, but their purpose remains unclear.

Content Warning is focused on producing comically eerie content with your companions, and the developers are still providing support for the game through updates like the recent April 10th patch. In addition to addressing audio problems, the update also introduced Apples to the game.

The sudden appearance of Apples in Content has caught players off guard, leaving them questioning their purpose.

Understanding Apples in Content Warning

Content Warning now offers apples as a new item that can be found and collected from the ground near the tree located just outside the base.

Their main purpose seems to be for throwing around and at friends, as they are not particularly useful for anything else. However, if you attempt to bring them into the Dive Bell, they mysteriously vanish.

How to Handle Apples in Content Warning

In addition to using Apples to throw at friends, it appears that there are other actions that can currently be done with Apples in Content Warning.

Pick them up and hold onto them
Throw them
Hold right click to bring them to your character’s mouth to make it look like you’re eating them

It appears that these are currently simply a playful enhancement to the game, providing players with an activity while exploring the base and producing video introductions.

It is possible that Apples will have additional uses in the future, as the developers have mentioned upcoming updates for which they will provide more information soon.
