What are Stellar Cards? A Breakdown of the Pokemon TCG

Pokemon TCG Stellar Miracle is set to be released in Japan on July 19, 2024, shortly after the Night Wanderer special set. The set is shaping up to be quite intriguing, with notable modifications, and the community is already beginning to receive glimpses of card reveals.

Fans can anticipate an exhilarating addition to Stellar Miracle with the introduction of the Stellar Tera type Pokemon. This novel type of Pokemon card draws inspiration from the Terapagos featured in the Scarlet & Violet Indigo Disk DLC, providing a sense of nostalgia for those who are familiar with classic sets such as Aquapolis.

Currently, only one Stellar type card has been unveiled, but as the release date approaches, we can expect to see more being revealed. We will continue to update this article with additional examples, so be sure to check back for updates.

The card featured in the video above was first unveiled on the official Japanese Pokemon TCG YouTube channel for the Japan Championships 2024, along with several other fascinating cards from the set Stellar Miracle, including a brand new ACE SPEC card.

What are Pokemon TCG Stellar Cards?

Stellar Tera type cards are similar to the Crystal Pokemon cards featured in the e-Card Series of the Pokemon TCG. They boast eye-catching and lively artwork, as well as Attacks that necessitate the use of various Energy types.

The Terapagos ex card, with its multi-Energy Attacks, is competitively viable and has the potential to change the meta. It is able to effectively damage multiple types of Pokemon thanks to its Attack, Crown Opal, which requires a combination of Grass, Water, and Electric Energy cards.

Furthermore, Stellar Pokemon also possess the typical Bench damage immunity found in Tera Pokemon cards, providing them with added durability.

The Terapagos ex card displayed above was translated by PokeBeach and has a striking appearance. Its first attack, Unified Beatdown, inflicts 30 damage for each of your benched Pokemon. The second attack, Crown Opal, deals 180 damage and imposes a block on the use of Basic non-Colorless attacks during the following turn.

Just as the reveal of ACE SPEC cards leading up to Temporal Forces was exciting, the anticipation of which other Stellar Tera Pokemon cards will be released before Stellar Miracle is equally captivating. These cards hold great significance for both collectors and players.

Following the release of Stellar Miracle, Shrouded Fable will soon follow with an abundance of stunning cards.
