On May 1st, a new behind-the-scenes video of the drama “Lovely Runner”was posted on the YouTube channel “tvN drama”.
The video documented the process of filming the kissing scene in which the two first expressed their romantic feelings for each other.
Director Yoon Jong-ho was highly involved in the filming of the kissing scene, providing specific and detailed instructions on everything from the actors’ eye contact to camera angles. His guidance greatly impressed both actors and earned praise from Kim Hye-yoon, who remarked, “The director is like a top teacher.”
The rehearsals persisted until the filming began. Byeon Woo-seok was vocal in giving his input, asking the director, “Do you think I should take a step back here?”He also complimented Kim Hye-yoon, who was striving to match his performance, saying, “It seems like you’re portraying it accurately for the first time, doesn’t it?”
The first kissing scene between the two was staged in a storm-like manner.
Following the advice of Director Yoon, Byeon Woo-seok was advised, “It appears a bit aggressive, which may have caused Kim Hye-yoon to feel flustered.”Director Yoon suggested, “Try approaching it with a more romantic and gradual approach.”Byeon Woo-seok responded, “I understand”and apologized to Kim Hye-yoon, saying “I apologize.”
In the ensuing reshoot, Byeon Woo-seok proceeded with more caution and planted a kiss on Kim Hye-yoon’s lips.
When the sound of “cut”was heard, the two exchanged glances but were unable to conceal their embarrassment, resulting in a smile from the viewers.
