What does “Oh look, a strawberry” mean on TikTok? Viral trend explained

The latest trend on TikTok, known as the “Oh look, a strawberry”challenge, has gained widespread popularity. However, some find it controversial for showcasing animals’ “unattractive”appearances.

The TikTok trend of spotting and showcasing strawberries has become extremely popular on the platform, with numerous videos garnering millions of views.

The trend involves individuals showcasing the unique appearance of their pets. In their TikTok videos, they incorporate an audio saying “Oh look, a strawberry,” and each time it repeats, a different one of their animals is revealed on screen.

Despite the seemingly happy appearance of the pets with their tongues out, some posters received criticism for unintentionally ranking their pets from cutest to ugliest.

Viewers were empathetic towards the animals as they were subjected to criticism for their appearance.

“I feel bad, NOO,”one commented on TikTok.

“Another person chimed in, saying, “I love all of them, don’t stop.”

Despite using their animals to participate in the trend, some TikTokers were adamant that they had no malicious intentions.

The Senior Dog Squad’s take on the popular “Oh look, a strawberry”trend went viral, amassing over 17 million views.

The first dog in the video did not display any facial deformities, but as the footage progressed, the remaining three dogs showed such abnormalities.

@theseniordogsquad No hate to any of my seniors! I love them all, whether they are normal or… not so normal. 🥹😂🐾 #fyp #foryou #ohlookastrawberry #sds #theseniordogsquad #viral #trend ♬ original sound – Olive the Griffon

The TikToker captioned her video by expressing love and respect towards all of her seniors, regardless of whether they fit into societal norms or not.

TikToker Dolly joined in on the trend and shared her own version. In her video, she featured her dogs in order of cuteness, going from the most adorable to the “skrunkliest.”

Despite the first dog displaying impeccable dental health, the rest of the litter seemed to have protruding teeth and misaligned grins.

While the “Oh look, a strawberry trend”has brought fame to numerous TikTokers, it is not the sole animal craze that has captured the attention of the platform.

The popular trend of “hands in”also includes participation from both dogs and cats. When owners place their hands in the center, they eagerly wait for their pets to place their paw on top, creating a heartwarming moment between humans and their beloved furry companions.
