What does Willpower do in Diablo 4?

As you equip new gear in Diablo 4, you may have noticed that your Core stats are constantly changing. One of these stats is Willpower, but players may be uncertain about its function and impact on their class’s performance.

In Diablo 4, Willpower is a Core stat that has an impact on both attack and defense for each class, and also grants additional healing and Overpower damage. Certain classes may see a greater benefit from having higher Willpower compared to others in the game.

In addition to everything mentioned above, each class in Diablo 4 also receives extra bonuses from Willpower. Below is a list of all the Willpower class bonuses in the game:

• Barbarian: Obtain more Fury per point of Willpower.
• The Druid gains Skill damage for every point of Willpower.
• Rogue: There is no bonus.
• The Necromancer gains Essence generation for each point of Willpower.
• As a Sorcerer, you will experience an increase in Mana generation for every point of Willpower you possess.

• In Diablo 4, it is important to activate all 160 Altars of Lilith in order to receive a significant +68 boost to your Core stats, including Willpower.

In addition to these permanent buffs, you can temporarily increase your Willpower by using the Blessed Guide Incense. This incense provides a significant boost of +25 to Willpower for 20 minutes in Diablo 4.
