On April 28th, Antara News, a local media outlet, reported that the Immigration Office in Denpasar, Bali had launched an investigation into 31 Korean cast and production crew members, as well as one Indonesian celebrity. This was due to their alleged violation of immigration regulations by engaging in activities without the necessary permits.

According to reports, the group of Korean individuals under investigation consisted of Hyoyeon from Girls’ Generation, Bomi from Apink, entertainer Choi Hee, and actress Im Na-young. Additionally, the individual from Indonesia who was involved in the incident was identified as Dita Karang from Secret Number.
The cast and production crew arrived in Bali on April 21st for the purpose of filming a program that would showcase Bali. However, it was discovered that they had entered the country on tourist visas and did not obtain the necessary filming permits or visas.
On April 25th, Suhendra, the head of Denpasar Immigration Office, stated that their enforcement teams were notified about unauthorized filming and subsequently carried out an inspection. Following an investigation, administrative measures were taken, which included imposing fines.
The cast and production crew had their passports confiscated and were detained in a hotel during the process, resulting in some cast members being unable to leave on their planned departure date.
Presently, the entire cast has departed from Indonesia, and the production team is also in the process of securing flights to leave the country.
Sandiaga Uno, the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, stated that while using Bali as a filming location is permitted, it is important to adhere to immigration regulations.
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy collaborated with the Immigration Office to expedite the release of the cast and production team, underlining the significance of adhering to the necessary procedures for obtaining filming permits and visas, which are simple to acquire and have a speedy processing time.
