The upcoming Overwatch 2 Season 11 will introduce a new LTM called Community Crafted for players to enjoy. Along with this, there will be Hero changes and a fresh Battle Pass, offering an exciting new gameplay experience where Heroes have received new abilities.
Community Crafted Explained
Community Crafted is a fresh LTM that brings together content creators to develop unique abilities for Heroes, which can then be tested out in Arcade Mode.
The Hero abilities were developed by OW2 content creators who were responsible for various roles:
- Emongg: Tanks
- Cost: Projectile DPS Heroes
- TQQ: Hitscan DPS Heroes
- Eskay: Supports
According to Director Aaron Keller, the LTM was developed as a way to commemorate Overwatch 2 reaching 100 million players and to increase community engagement with the game.
Hero ability changes
- Ana gets a super jump similar to Baptiste’s.
- Reaper does damage when he goes through enemies in Wraith form.
- Orisa is getting her iconic Halt ability back.
- Hanzo will also have his Scatter Arrows reinstated.

In Overwatch 1, both Hanzo and Orisa possessed abilities known as Scatter Arrows and Halt, respectively. With Scatter Arrows, Hanzo could release a barrage of arrows that could rebound off walls, while Orisa’s Halt allowed her to draw enemies towards the location where she fired it.
When will Community Crafted go live?
From June 20 to July 9, 2024, players will have the opportunity to play Community Crafted in the Arcade.
The mode will launch simultaneously with Season 11, giving players a two-week window to test it out once the update is released on June 20.
Another LTM will be joining Season 11, in addition to Quick Play: Hacked, which will be available later in the season. Furthermore, a new crossover with Transformers is also on the horizon.
