Blizzard has yet to announce an end date for the mode, however, based on the duration of previous Quick Play: Hacked modes, it is expected to last anywhere between one day and a weekend.
The developers have not yet disclosed the method by which players will choose upgrades for the Heroes, but it appears to be similar to the system used in Paladins. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available leading up to the release.
Why is Quick Play: Hacked not included in the Arcade for Overwatch 2?
The purpose of Hacked, Overwatch 2’s Quick Play mode, is for Blizzard to test the effectiveness of different game modifications.
As per the dev team, implementing new ideas in this manner allows for direct player involvement for a limited time and enables them to assess their feedback. Additionally, Blizzard aims for players to experiment with new playstyles through the new mode.
The mode is not specifically available in Arcade due to its association with a particular map type or completely different way of playing Overwatch 2. Although Quick Play: Hacked increases the pace of the game, the fundamental mechanics will remain unchanged.
The developers made the decision to not reintroduce the Experimental Card in order to increase player participation in testing the new mode.
Season 11 will feature a multitude of fresh content, such as a new Battle Pass and a collaboration between Transformers and Overwatch 2.
