In Season 4, Chapter 5, players can once again utilize this mechanic. However, it now functions as an effect from one of the Medallions found in the game rather than being an augment. Understanding how it operates can greatly aid in achieving a coveted Victory Royale.

The mechanic of siphoning in Fortnite enables players to replenish their health and shield upon eliminating an enemy. This feature can prove to be highly advantageous in dire situations or when one is nearing the final circle without access to healing items nearby.
During Chapter 5 of Season 4, players have the ability to utilize this mechanic by defeating Doombot at Castle Doom and looting his drops. Among these drops is the Siphon Medallion, which can be equipped. However, like all other Medallions in the game, there is a cost associated with using it.
Although Siphon allows you to regenerate health and shield, equipping the medallion will expose your whereabouts to all players on the map. This means that regardless of your position in Fortnite, your movements will be constantly tracked by everyone.
With that being said, having confidence in your abilities and being aware of the locations of all the Mythics should prevent any issues. Moreover, this season’s loot pool includes a “broken combo”that you can utilize to easily defeat any enemies in your path.
