What is the biometric scanner in Warzone?

Warzone Season 3 will introduce biometric scanners scattered across Rebirth Island. If you’re wondering what they’re for, then here’s everything you need to know.

Each season of Warzone brings new features that players can use to their advantage. With Season 3, Warzone will introduce the biometric scanner, offering exclusive rewards and benefits in part.

If you’re wondering how this new feature will work in Warzone Season 3, here’s everything you need to know.

Biometric Scanners in Warzone Explained

The Biometric Scanner is a feature that allows players to check their stats once per game and create an Access Card to unlock “a special menu at any Buy Station on Rebirth Island” .

The Resurgence card will feature 10 biometric scanners to create an Access Card based on the player’s identity. Once the card is created, players can keep the Access Card, inspect it to see their name, Clan Tag and Access Level, or loot Access Cards from fallen enemies.

There are six Access Card rarities in Warzone:

  • Bronze (commune)
  • Money (relatively common)
  • Gold (uncommon)
  • Platinum (Rare)
  • Polyatomic (very rare)
  • Orion (incredibly rare)

Although Call of Duty has not revealed the probability of obtaining each type of Access Card, players can improve their rarity if a teammate is nearby during a scan.

Warzone Buy Station Biometric Scanner Access and Rewards

Once Warzone players have their Biometric Scanner Access Card or once they have looted one from a fallen enemy, they can then head to any Rebirth Island Buy Station where a special menu full of rewards, based on the Access Card they have, will be accessible.

Here are each special Biometric Scanner Access Card menu available, as noted by the Season 3 release:

  • Bronze: Random ammo, Silver ($), Armor Plates, Lethal and Tactical Grenades.
  • Money: Random Ammo, Money ($$), Armor Plates, Lethal and Tactical Grenades, Perk Pack.
  • Gold: Random Ammo, Silver ($$$), Armor Plates, Lethal and Tactical Grenades, Perk Pack, Armored Vest, Combat Enhancement.
  • Platinum: Random Ammo, Silver ($$$$), Armor Plates, Lethal and Tactical Grenades, Perk Pack, Armored Vest, Combat Upgrade, Killstreak.
  • Polyatomic: [[CLASSIFIED]] Free equipment at the Buy Station, Weapon [[CLASSIFIED]].
  • Orion: [[CLASSIFIED]] Free equipment at the Buy Station, additional [[CLASSIFIED]], [[CLASSIFIED]] weapons.

Additionally, the developers confirmed that returning to a biometric scanner “on subsequent, but non-consecutive, visits can unlock a variety of additional assets,” including camouflages and other as-yet-unrevealed rewards.

And that’s everything you need to know about the biometric scanner in Warzone.
