What is the ‘I did my dance’ TikTok trend? Exploring the Viral Lil Durk Lyrics

The trend of ‘I did my dance’ is gaining popularity as TikTokers are being filmed repeating the lyrics from Lil Durk’s 2021 song with Drake, ‘In The Bible.’

Although the trend of ‘I did my dance’ gained popularity in 2021 after the release of Drake and Lil Durk’s song ‘In The Bible,’ it has resurfaced and exploded once again on TikTok in May 2024.

The current fad involves TikTokers standing up in a room full of people, typically in a quiet setting, and singing the words of the song, “I performed my dance on TikTok once and it quickly gained popularity.”

Despite appearing to be a dance craze, it is actually more of a singing trend, with numerous TikTokers featuring a point-of-view video stating, “the moment you discover you have a singing talent.”

The lyrics in question pertain to a TikTok video featuring Lil Durk and the late King Von dancing in the music video for ‘Chiraqimoney.’ The video gained popularity after the song’s release in 2019 and remained a trending topic for years to come.

Despite its popularity in the past, TikTok’s ‘I did my dance’ trend is currently gaining even more traction, with videos receiving millions of views overnight.

Clare, a popular TikToker, uploaded her own version of the trend and it garnered more than 6 million views. In an attempt to take control of the situation, she confidently proclaimed, “I did my dance once on TikTok and it went viral.”She repeated this statement three times to assert her dominance.

After standing up, she repeated the lyrics for a fourth time, which caught the attention of others and caused the room to quiet down due to her shocking performance.

Sif, a fellow TikToker who also shared their interpretation of the trend, garnered more than 11 million views and is still gaining traction. In his video, he eloquently repeated the phrase four times before gracefully concluding.

“”And…cut!”joked one viewer in his comments. “He commanded the room with his presence,”added another.

Although the ‘I did my dance’ trend is currently gaining popularity on TikTok, another trend involving a fellow rapper started back in May.

The trend known as ‘BBL Drizzy’ began as a playful jab at Drake and the rumors surrounding his possible Brazilian butt lift. TikTokers have been sharing humorous videos of themselves dancing to a short song by Metro Boomin, which was inspired by the speculation.
