Despite having to wait until 2025 to discover the fate of When Calls the Heart Season 12, a particular star believes it is the ideal opportunity for a grand wedding – and is eager to lend a hand.
Despite the challenge of maintaining levels of romance, drama, and suspense over a decade, When Calls the Heart Season 12 has proven to be the exception. Although new episodes won’t be airing until next year, potential plotlines for the beloved drama series are already in the works.
One possible solution for Elizabeth and Nathan’s relationship is to have them marry, as they are the main characters. Although they were not engaged at the end of Season 11, there has been a romantic attraction between them since Elizabeth’s late husband Jack passed away in Season 5.
In an interview with US Weekly, Pascale Hutton, known for her role as Rosemary LeVeaux Coulter on the popular TV series, shared her thoughts on the possibility of Rosemary officiating a wedding. She expressed her desire for Rosemary to take on the role, but also acknowledged Joseph’s strengths as a pastor and how he would be able to handle the responsibility well.
Rosemary could take on a larger role as the maid of honor and assist with planning the entire event.
As Hutton highlights, her character played a significant role in facilitating Elizabeth’s marriage to Jack before his untimely passing in a tragic landslide.
“She’s always been a loyal and supportive friend to her girlfriend,”she added. “I have a feeling she may end up being a wedding planner and maid of honor for her in the future.”
Currently, there are no definite arrangements for a wedding between Elizabeth and Nathan – in fact, there are no confirmed plans whatsoever.
In the Season 11 finale, we witnessed the couple’s first public appearance as a couple, adding insult to injury for Elizabeth’s former flame Lucas. He was the man she was initially supposed to marry before ending things.
Despite Lucas’s return, the drama is far from over as he has nothing left to come back to after losing both his love and new job prospects.
Despite this, speculation among fans suggests that Jack may return from the grave for When Calls the Heart Season 12, reminiscent of Bobby Ewing’s return in Dallas.
In the Season 11 finale, Hargraves pulled Elizabeth aside to share some news about her deceased husband. The nature of this news and its potential impact on her relationship with Nathan remains a mystery.
