When does Jujutsu Kaisen manga end? Final chapter details explained

As revealed through the latest Jump Press announcements, fans have surely discovered that the serialization of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is coming to a close. During Jump Festa 2024, manga creator Gege Akutami had mentioned that it would likely end before the next Jump Festa event. Clearly, they are staying true to their word.

The serialization of Jujutsu Kaisen manga started in March 2018 and is set to conclude in September 2024 after a successful six-year run in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. As of now, the manga has reached a circulation of over 90 million copies worldwide, solidifying its position as one of the most beloved manga series of the present time.

Therefore, at what point will the manga publish its last chapter?

When does the Jujutsu Kaisen manga end?

The final chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is scheduled to be released on Monday, September 30, 2024, according to an announcement from Jump Press. The series is set to conclude in five more chapters.

Therefore, as the manga has currently published 266 chapters, the last chapter of the series will be chapter 271. It is set to be published in issue 44 of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

Gege Akutami expressed his gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support, acknowledging that without them, he would not have been able to conclude the story according to his original vision.

How many volumes will the manga conclude with?

The manga has currently published 27 volumes, consisting of 245 chapters. Additionally, it has released 21 chapters since then, with plans for five more chapters to be released before the series concludes.

Given that the manga has not yet compiled 26 chapters into its volumes, there is a possibility that the series will be able to compile them into three distinct volumes. As a result, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is expected to conclude with a total of 30 compiled volumes.

What is the remaining number of manga chapters to be adapted in the anime?

So far, the Jujutsu Kaisen anime has been converted into two separate seasons for television. Within these seasons, 137 chapters from the manga have been incorporated. With a total of 271 chapters in the manga series, approximately 134 chapters remain to be adapted into the anime.

Therefore, based on the analysis of the chapter numbers and pacing of the anime adaptation, it can be inferred that MAPPA will most likely produce two seasonal anime series with approximately 24 episodes each to cover the remaining content of the manga series.

Regrettably, supporters can only pray that the Gege Akutami manga does not encounter a comparable adaptation as Attack on Titan.

The Hajime Isayama series was divided into three parts and released gradually, with the third part being released as two special episodes. This adaptation left fans dissatisfied. As a result, they can only hope that Jujutsu Kaisen does not face a similar fate.
