During Go Fest 2024, Pokemon Go players will have the opportunity to access additional events with various surprises and perks.
Although there are still some unknown details about the Ultra Unlock events, such as the featured Pokemon, we do have information regarding the dates and bonuses. With that said, here is everything you need to know.
When will Ultra Unlock 2024 begin?
- Part 1 – Better Together: July 17 to July 22
- Part 2 – Strength of Steel: July 25 to July 30
- Part 3 – Mega Raid Day: July 27
Each of the three parts will offer distinct bonuses that align with the theme of the event.
Better Together Bonuses
- A new Pokemon will make its in-game debut and be featured in Timed Research
- 2x catch Candy
- 4x catch XP
- Friendship levels will increase faster
Although the specific species has not been revealed yet, it is anticipated to be Tandemaus and its evolved form Maushold, both Normal types from the Paldea region that were recently discovered through datamining by the Pokémon Mod Group.
Ultra Unlock events begin less than a week after Go Fest.
Part 2 – Strength of Steel Bonuses
- Shiny debut of an existing Pokemon
Since Go Fest is centered around the Alola region, we anticipate that the event will showcase shiny Togedemaru, as it is known to be a Steel type-focused event.
Part 3 – Mega Raid Day Bonuses
- A new Pokemon will debut in Mega Raids from 11 AM to 5 PM local time and it can be shiny
As the Part 3 event overlaps with Strength of Steel, the Raid Boss will be one of the three upcoming Steel-type Mega Evolutions: Lucario, Metagross, or Mawile.
Both of the first two are formidable attackers, and their release is bound to generate immense excitement among fans. No matter what the Raid Boss ends up being, make sure to have strong Fire and Ground-type counters ready to defeat them.
How to get Ultra Unlock events
To activate the Ultra Unlock events, you must complete 20 Global Challenges between July 13, 2024 and July 14, 2024 during Go Fest 2024.
