Skull and Bones offers pirates a myriad of opportunities for plunder and adventure as they sail the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean.
Among the plethora of valuable resources, Shellac is a versatile material used in shipbuilding and other essential businesses, and here’s how you can find it in the game.
Being a pirate in the world of Skull and Bones is no easy feat and to be able to survive the darkest depths of the ocean you need to be prepared. Considering the game doesn’t feature land combat, you need to invest all your resources into upgrading your ship and that’s where Shellac comes into play.
Shellac serves as a crucial component in various crafting recipes in Skull and Bones, most notably for building the Bombardier and Hullbreaker ship blueprints.
Thus, obtaining a sufficient amount of Shellac is essential for upgrading and customizing your fleet of ships, boosting both their offensive capabilities and their durability. Here’s everything you need to know about how to find Shellac in Skull and Bones.
How to find Shellac in Skull and Bones
The most reliable way to acquire Shellac is to raid villages. However, you can also try to purchase this resource from village traders but there is no guarantee that traders will have Shellac in stock, so it is advisable to prioritize looting for a more constant supply. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can find it:
- Harimau Strait, located on the extreme eastern side of the map, serves as the best location to find Shellac.
- Once in Harimau Strait, you can loot nearby villages to obtain Shellac and other valuable resources. Villages controlled by the Dominion of Rempah are particularly lucrative targets for finding Shellac. A recommended village for Shellac cultivation is Kencur Sawmill.
- Approach the coastal village of your choice and select the ” Pillage ” option. Engage in combat to destroy the city’s watchtower and repel any intervening ships to secure your loot.
Once the looting process is complete and the progress bar is full, gather your teammates and claim your loot, including the precious Shellac.
