Where Did Lee Kwang-soo from “Running Man” Go? Chilling Transformation After Returning to Main Career

On July 31st, the agency King Kong by Starship released behind-the-scenes still cuts from the poster shoot of the drama “No Way Out: The Roulette,” which stars Lee Kwang-soo. The photos were taken during the filming of the drama, and give viewers a glimpse into the production process of “No Way Out.”

The main character in this film is Lee Kwang-soo, who portrays Yoon Chang-jae, a butcher who sets out to murder the infamous Kim Guk-ho (portrayed by Yoo Jae-myung) in order to receive a significant amount of money.

“The film “No Way Out”centers around a murder contract with a bounty of 20 billion won, targeting a notorious and dangerous criminal. It depicts the intense struggle between those who seek to claim the reward and those fighting for their survival. Lee Kwang-soo is expected to display a completely different persona in this project.”

The photos that were released showcase Lee Kwang-soo with a rugged appearance achieved through special effects makeup, creating a powerful impact. His piercing gaze immediately commands attention, demonstrating his full embodiment of the character.

During filming, Lee Kwang-soo successfully established a welcoming environment, but as soon as the camera started rolling, he seamlessly transformed into Yoon Chang-jae and quickly produced top-quality shots.

Before, Lee Kwang-soo became incredibly famous for his frequent appearances on the SBS variety show “Running Man”.

Despite the sadness of his departure, fans were left heartbroken in 2021 when he decided to leave “Running Man”after sustaining an ankle fracture in a car accident the year before.

Despite his extensive acting career since then, he acknowledged the challenge of breaking away from his persona as a variety show host when tackling more dramatic roles.

Lee Kwang-soo is ready to showcase his acting skills in this new drama. In the recently released highlight video, he gave a spine-chilling performance as he delivered the line “Bring Kim Guk-ho to me, right before my eyes”, displaying a menacing aura.

High expectations surround the new side he will unveil in “No Way Out” .

The film “No Way Out”, which features Lee Kwang-soo, Cho Jin-woong, Yoo Jae-myung, Kim Mu-yeol, Yum Jung-ah, Sung Yoo-bin, Greg Hsu, and Kim Sung-cheol, will be available for streaming on both Disney+ and U+Mobile TV starting July 31st.
