As a Dark-type Pal, Katress is naturally weak against Dragon-types and incredibly strong against Non-elemental Pals. Chillet and Dinossom are good choices here, if you can get your hands on one of them before looking for Katress. Alternatively, a burst high damage Pal of any type other than Non-Elemental will do the trick.
Katress has the Level 2 Work Abilities Manual Work, Pharmacy and Transportation. This is a relatively unusual combination of skills and one that proves immensely useful as the game progresses.
